Bangladesh produced a clinical performance to defeat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the rain-affected 2nd ODI in Dhaka, leveling the three-match series 1-1. Shakib Al Hasan was the star of the show with figures of 3/28 and a quickfire 45 with the bat.
Sri Lanka, batting first in overcast conditions, were bowled out for 198 in 45.3 overs. Kusal Mendis top-scored with 56, but the Lankan batting lineup crumbled against Bangladesh's disciplined bowling attack.
In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target in 38.1 overs with Litton Das anchoring the chase with a composed 78 not out. The decisive 3rd ODI will be played on Thursday at the same venue.
